About Carolina Trace Country Club
One of North Carolina's finest private country clubs.
Carolina Trace is a nationally recognized, award-winning, master-planned gated golf and country club community developed on 2,500 acres in the Sandhills of North Carolina.
Centrally located in Sanford, (Lee County) which is about 35 minutes north of Pinehurst and 45 minutes south of Raleigh-Durham Airport.
Legendary golf course architect Robert Trent Jones, Sr. designed the Lake Course in 1971 and the Creek Course in 1979. Both championship courses provide a world-class golf experience.
Many people are first drawn to our two championship golf courses, spectacular lake views and rolling hills, mild four-season climate and gated community. Most return for the genuine camaraderie and immediate sense of belonging to the Carolina Trace family.
The vision of Carolina Trace was spawned in 1959. Residents enjoy an established and environmentally-focused community featuring 315-acre Lake Trace, many ponds and creeks, walking trails, rolling hills, hardwoods and pine forest within a gated community providing 24-hour security.
