Chapel Hills was a difficult course to design, as course designers Rocky Roquemore and Jeff Burton were required to navigate through steep hills and numerous granite outcroppings, so typical in the state of Georgia.
The end result is a course that is as pleasing aesthetically as it is challenging from a golfer’s perspective. Chapel Hills is known for its signature double green on which golfers can complete both the front and back nines. The undulating double green on holes 9 and 18, as well as every other green on the course, are some of the best kept and fastest in the area.
