Site of the 1977 famous 59, shot by Al Geiberger, the South has been dubbed by Golf Week Magazine as one of the toughest tests (no longer played) on the PGA Tour. Curtis Strange said, “That course was one of the 3, 4, 5 courses I would have bet you would have never seen a 59 on". A par 72 measuring 7334 from the back tees, the South is without question one of the most challenging courses to play in the country and one of the most enjoyable. With tree lined fairways, gorgeous lakes, and uncharacteristic elevation changes to the region, the South Course is truly a gem to behold.
