The Red Course was discovered and designed by world-renowned architect and friend, Tom Doak, and his team at Renaissance Golf Design. The 18th hole delivers breathtaking vistas of the clubhouse, cabins and 400-foot sand dunes overlooking the river itself.

THE THRILL OF THE HUNT.

A membership to Dismal River Club offers exclusive access to more than 80,000 acres for bird hunting, big-game hunting and estate hunting. Our hunting packages can be tailored to your needs and desires, and we can easily accommodate groups of any size, including corporate outings and retreats.

BIRD HUNTING
The habitat of the Sandhills is unique in that a wide-variety of game birds can be found here, offering the wingshooter a fantastic opportunity for a mixed-bag hunt. The area around the club is home to pheasants, bobwhite quail, prairie grouse (greater prairie-chicken and sharp-tailed grouse), and mourning dove. Additionally, we supplement native populations with pheasants, quail and chukar partridge and we offer exclusive hunting opportunities on our Controlled Shooting Area, which allows us an extended season from September 1 through April 15 each year. All other bird hunts are subject to Nebraska hunting regulations, seasons and bag limits.

We also offer special European-style hunts for pheasants. Pricing is based on the number of hunters and number of birds released. All packages include ammunition, packaging, guides and dogs. Shotguns are available. Hunters are allowed to bring their own shotguns and ammunition.

BIG-GAME HUNTING
Dismal River Club, through our exclusive partnership with John Howell and Dismal River Outfitters, offers incredible big-game hunting opportunities including spring turkey, mule deer and white-tailed deer. Mule deer are our specialty and this area of Nebraska is noted for producing trophy-quality mule deer every year. In addition to free-range deer and turkey hunts, we offer estate hunts in our 3,000-acre enclosure for buffalo and elk. All free-range big-game hunting is subject to state-regulated seasons and license restrictions.

All hunts include lodging, food, and guides. Not included: applicable licenses and tags, taxidermy, processing. Rifles and ammunition available.
