Point O' Woods Golf & Country Club, one of Southwest Michigan's premier private courses, is a full-service country club with an 18-hole championship course. The "Point," as it is fondly referred to by many, is just a few miles from the Lake Michigan shoreline.
The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and opened in 1958. Jones referred to The Point as "perhaps my best American course," and countless golfers agree. In fact, Golf Week Magazine and Golf Digest consistently rate Point O' Woods among the top 100 courses in the country.
Over the years, The Point has hosted some of golf's true legends including Arnold Palmer, Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus and Phil Mickelson as well as serving as host to the Western Amateur for nearly four decades.
The course layout has a parkland setting with no tricks or penalties for hitting a 'good' shot. The greens run true, but the rough can be penalizing.
