Designed by Hal Purdy, the PGA-recognized 18-hole private golf course at the Ramsey Golf and Country Club is a real pearl still hidden deep within the oyster of Bergen County. It was updated in 2005 by Ronald Cutlip with a $ 2.4 million renovation project that included a new Toro irrigation system, bunkers, tee complexes and green expansions. RGCC has a driving range, a putting green and an excellent short game practice area.
This par-69 course is a real shot-maker, its narrow paths designed to require you to shoot accurately. At the same time, the Ramsey Golf and Country Club course is a rare beauty, in that you play through a wooded, park-like atmosphere lined with thousands of big mature trees, and dotted with lakes and ponds. The gently rolling terrain and the small, undulating greens will challenge you while filling you with a sense of tranquility.
