Established in 1916, Tryon Country Club is one of the oldest private golf clubs in North Carolina. The club is essentially a nine hole golfing club where members walk or ride, play nine or 18, and hardly ever wait at the tee any day of the week.

Facilities include the golf course, a driving range, chipping and putting practice greens, the full-size swimming pool, the clubhouse, locker rooms and the pro shop, all available to members and guests. PGA instruction is available from our club professional.

While the beauty of the club grounds and surrounding mountains is evident at first sight, it is the friendly generous mixture of golf and club social activity that welcomes all members.

Tryon Country Club is member-owned and member-run, administered by a resident PGA club professional and maintained by a capbale greens staff.

Guests are expected to maintain a level of proper personal attire while in the Clubhouse or on the golf course. No blue jeans, short shorts, tank tops, cut offs, halter tops, t-shirts, sweat suits, sweat pants or other variations from traditional trouser, shorts and shirts with collars and sleeve will be permitted.

We are a soft spike only club.

All guests are to abide cart, golf course, and house rules at all times.
